C/N/C PRECISION MACHINING:

Concept Group, Inc. has over 3 decades of history machining a wide range of materials, from stainless steels and aluminum, to specialized alloys such as Hastelloy, Monel, and Kovar. In addition, we have the capability and expertise to machine composite materials and ceramics, such as Macor, Graphite, Aluminum, among others.

Concept began as a machine shop, and despite our growth into other areas such as Glass-to-Metal seals, Vacuum Insulation, and Vacuum Brazing, our machine shop is still an important backbone to our operation. There, not only do we machine the components for our vacuum-brazed and glassed assemblies, but also all of the tooling and fixturing required for these operations. The fact that we design, build, and test our own tooling and fixturing drastically shortens lead-time and improves quality and reliability.

Our Machine Shop uses state-of-the-art CNC machines,
networked together for ease of CAD and CAM. In addition, we
utilize electronic instruments at each station to create full databases for SPC, quality, leaning, and productivity enhancement.
We are ISO 9001:2000 certified and design many of our processes to six-sigma quality.
