Concept Group has developed a unique and proprietary process for creating a wide variety of shapes with a deep vacuum insulation used in everything from cryosurgery and medical transport systems to electronic packages used in aviation and space to military and commercial sensor systems.
The design flexibilities inherent in the process capabilities are such that we can virtually build any system to handle your thermal management requirements in ways you probably didn’t realize were possible. Examples are thermal insulation of a shaft of a cryosurgical probe for freezing tumors deep in the body without causing damage to healthy tissue while improving the overall performance of the instrument. The control of extreme temperature sensitive electronic devices such as infrared sensors for use in weapon systems. The storage and transport of pharmaceuticals requiring demanding temperature control through its entire transport from manufacturing to use in the field such as live vaccines.
Here are some specific applications:
• Thermal isolation of temperature sensitive electronics as well as ionizing radiation shielding with the appropriate construction and coating methodology.
• Insulate materials to maintain a near constant temperature.
• To control the temperature of a process, taking place in the vacuum insulated sections.
• Insulate cryogenic materials, either flowing or static such as in a closed loop system (i.e. a cryogenic pump).
• Insulate the shaft of a cryogenic surgical probe to avoid freezing on intended tissue.
• Insulate warm materials either flowing or static.
• To control the temperature of a gas flowing through the vacuum insulated sections.
• To store and transport live serums.
• To transport donor organs.
• To store and transport temperature sensitive products.
